Led the company-wide PHP8 update for all PMC publishing brands.Previously, developed a publishing system for RollingStone.com music charts and produced streaming music charts for AlphaData.fm clients. Maintained and expanded an internal content intelligence/analytics tool combining WordPress post data with GA data through BigQuery.

Tech lead on premium article redesign project, which increased viewability on all ads and increased user interaction with recirculation by more than 50%.Tech lead on the mobile SF Gate article re-engineering project, which halved page load time and number of requests. The performance gains helped boost page views and uniques by 6 percent and ad viewability and revenue by 23 percent.

Technical lead for Bonappetit.com. Represented the technical team comprised of in-house and remote developers to business and editorial stakeholders. Maintained site stability during growth from under 5 million uniques to nearly 8 million over 18 months. Implemented a redesign of our recipe pages and homepage. Improved site ad viewability from less than 50 percent to more than 70 percent. Developed a Node-based migration system to migrate from WordPress to the proprietary Conde CMS.

Responsible for a data migration of 15 years worth of stories and writers to a new custom author plugin. Built and maintained a JSON API used for mobile apps. Maintained and developed a Wordpress CMS.

Expanded a prototype of a story planning system into a daily production tool used by the entire newsroom and the International Herald Tribune. Developed an intern application site that made the annual intern hiring season completely paperless. Maintained and developed a number of internal tools used for research and tracking. Developed in Ruby on Rails and the Prototype and jQuery javascript frameworks. Identified and developed web-based applications for internal newsroom use.

Django developer working on the now-shuttered Sprig.com and LoudounExtra.com sites. Worked with a small team to develop new web products with journalistic value and advertiser appeal, such as TimeSpace, a map and timeline based story-telling device

Managed a team responsible for front-end coding, newsroom technology support (blogs, CMS training and troubleshooting). Worked with IT to develop and maintain the CMS. Developed some public-facing applications in Django, including the Post's recipes database.
