I am currently working in several different roles at my school due to being understaffed from Covid.- IEP Teacher: Managing IEP compliance for the school. Holding monthly SIT meetings. Utilizing SESIS to write IEPs and maintain student progress. Facilitating IEP Annual Reviews for all students with disabilities. Delivering SETSS instruction daily. Scheduling and managing all Special Education Recovery Services in accordance with the DOE’s 2021-2022 Academic Recovery Plan. Attending monthly Special Education Liaison meetings for District 16.- ASD Nest Coach: Providing guidance to all Nest staff regarding ASD behaviors and best practices. Holding weekly Nest Case Conferences. Communicating and building strong relationships with parents of ASD students. Attending monthly Coach Seminars to exchange ideas with coaches in other districts.- 504 Coordinator: Collecting data on students referred to the 504 Committee. Working with a team to make an educational determination that a child’s disability is substantially impacting their ability to attend school successfully.
