I managed a small finance team, which includes accounts receivable, accounts payable, NDIS claims, NDIS plan management and payroll. As a key member of the executive team, I report directly to the CEO and liaise with the Board and external auditors. My role is hands-on, whilst at the same time working to develop and deliver corporate strategies and to drive business improvements. I deliver all of the usual Finance Manager/Controller outputs including monthly reporting, GST and FBT, annual budgets, forecasts, liaising with external auditors, Board reports and adhoc reports required by the CEOMy career started in Chartered Accounting, where I spent six years in audit. From Chartered Accounting I moved to a commercial position as the company accountant at IPAC Securities. My next role was at Perpetual Limited as a Commerical Manager for the shared services team.
