Cost reduction has always been the objective, and I achieved the following throughout the last several years:o 80% return of tariff exclusions ($240K) in 2019o $50K reduction in overseas buy for inventory in 2018o $65K cost reduction goal for 2017Analyzing financial reports improves business strategy with calculated growth initiatives through ambitious planning. Evaluating product expenditures, rebates and bulk purchases, and limiting unnecessary spending transforms bottom-line ROI. In addition, I repositioned existing SOPs, better reflecting current sales metrics and more solidified vendor contracts. One project which dramatically altered how the company functioned focused on developing processes for a frustration-free packaging program, for use with a major online shipping platform. Implementing this directly led to decreasing processing and shipping costs, increasing the profit margin.

In my initial role with this organization, I provided corporate collections, A/P, A/R, reconciliation, sales tax, EDI orders, and the typical assortment of functions relative to an accountant role. Through time and proving my ability to deliver higher-profile functions, I accepted the opportunity to move into a senior accountant status.With my additional responsibilities, I began to smooth out tensions related to invoice disputes, to keep accounts up-to-date. I also introduced a new system for invoice storage, using the Cloud, which reduced redundancies and streamlined invoicing processes. Implementing an ACH option for payments meant receiving payments quicker and more accurate. My other top responsibility centered around negotiating more favorable terms directly with vendors, having established a working rapport with them. This, plus more cost-efficient freight-forwarding companies, transformed overseas purchases in the supply chain.Having proven my professional value-adding capacities, I then moved up again into the purchasing manager position.

Well-known for my cost control measures, I began this role to promote hands-on investor relations. All this, while keeping an eye on maintaining brand integrity and growing profits. Some key initiatives I played a key role in executing include: Organization-wide inventory management including monthly accounting, P&L financial reporting, and reconciliations. Procurement of all goods, in addition to point of contact for receivables, researching cost expenses to monitor spending. Driving calculated growth effort through analyzing financial reports and data which dramatically improved business strategy. Identify expenses which would not compromise service quality yet concurrently contributed to bottom-line profitability.I’m proud of having concepted logistical controls throughout my time in this company, contributing to enforcing SOPs across the board. Consistency of processes across the board, using logistical controls to secure and control inventory, led to cost reduction.
