Post Master's Training Program in Parent Education and Parent Guidance. This certificate program is an intensive training program designed for parent educators and/or clinicians who works with parents. Its goal is to promote a deepened understanding of the theories, values and principles that inform this work. There is a growing body of knowledge supporting the notion that parent guidance and the participation of parents in parent education programs enhances parent-child interaction and the development of healthy children in important ways. Participants will build a solid foundation of knowledge about parents and children along a variety of continuum. Development will be studied from infancy through adolescence. Seminars will also focus on the development of the parent-child relationship and the development of families. The inextricable links between each domain will be examined.

Co-teacher and consultant of the Raising a Thinking Child program through Adelphi's University's Institute for Parenting. This program teaches empathy and problem-solving using word pairs and decision-making techiniques. The class is taught to 3-5 year olds and their parents concurrently.

Babies Can’t Wait is a program designed for the unique needs of the very young children in the Child Welfare System in Nassau County. Led by Judge Dane, it is designed to be a collaborative effort by Nassau County Family Court, the Bar, Department of Social Services, Adelphi University Institute for Parenting, and support organizations to provide evidence based services, share information, and address the overall developmental needs of children to achieve expedited, successful, and lasting permanency for each child.

The Hance Family Foundation is a non-profit organization created to honor the memories of Emma, Alyson, and Katie Hance, three sisters who died in a tragic car accident in 2009 at the ages of 8, 7, and 5. This Foundation supports children's endeavors through educational initiatives (such as girls' self-esteem programs and community gardens) and charitable giving.
