I've always thrived on challenges and results. After a successful career in hospitality sales and real estate, I moved to Sydney in 1990 and joined what was then a fledgling recruitment industry, where I was lucky enough to participate in some industry "First's" and win a few Awards. Look where it took me! Like many successful women, I reinvented myself after the birth of my daughter in 1999 and launched HRM Resolutions, a strategic human resource consultancy. HRM provides advice and support in the key areas of people and performance, including talent attraction and acquisition, employee engagement, career transition, succession planning, workplace bullying and the like to numerous SME clients via a team of talented and dedicated HR Consultants.I was a founding recruiter and investor at RecruitLoop, a revolutionary online recruitment model, changing the face of recruitment, which at its peak, boasted 7000 recruiters in 62 countries. Taking the best from that and making it better, I launched Just Right People in January 2020 - yep, before 'the thing'! But we've survived and now on the way back.A passion of mine has always been improving the professionalism of the HR and recruitment industry and engaging in innovative ways to improve the client-consultant relationship. As the Licensee for JobFit, a psychometric assessment that tests for honesty, integrity, and work ethic and problem-solving skills as well as the usual verbal reasoning communication and team engagement factors, I can now help recruiters deliver even more value to their clients. I've developed numerous workshops around sales, performance management, team excellence and communication, including a 6-part webinar series "How to Earn $100K+ from Home in Your Pyjamas" for RecruitLoop and “Word Sex: The Language of Sales” for the recruitment industry in Australia and New Zealand.I regularly present at conferences and have a TED talk in my sights! And apart from blogging, I can add 'Author' to my quiver of bows, having been invited to contribute a chapter to the Arnold Schwarzenegger led book “Think Big: How to Thrive in Life and Business in a Rapidly Changing World!”, which went to #1 in it's category on Amazon within weeks!
