Versatile professional with a background in training and coaching those in the customer service industry, currently transitioning to a career in assisting Indigenous youth to strive for more to guide and encourage Indigenous youth to find pride in education, pursue new challenges, and face adversity, by either finding opportunities that open doors for them or contributing to their success. Eager to leverage my connections, skills, and passion for finding ways to proactively create opportunities for Indigenous People to excel in academic and supportive roles with your company.I am a self-motivated individual with exceptional organizational and communication skills. I have a leadership style that is both collegial and collaborative with a proven ability to work well under pressure while leading a team for success. I have completed my Bachelor's degree in Indigenous Studies from the First Nations University of Canada. My previous work and volunteer experiences include working in a non-profit corporation, office management, executive administration, teaching assistant, and language program planning. I have a passion for culture and language revitalization in general and actively work towards learning more each day. My interest in Indigenous history and reconciliation have led me on a journey of finding passion in creating small differences in peoples lives by extending and sharing knowledge in Indigenous culture and to seeing people succeed in their professional lives. I have experience in hiring and staffing including recruitment, interviewing, and selecting, completed performance evaluations of individuals, in client/customer service, and the handling of complaints and problems, and also with policy enforcement regarding employee activities and behaviors.
