Jte Assistant Supervisor (Ground Radar Systems Craftsman) (Msgt)Idaho Air National Guard Jul 2009 - Jul 2011Assisted in allocating and supervising 10 personnel and 1 Mobile C2U, 2 Fixed C2U, and 4 TEU system making up the Joint Threat Emitter system. Participated in the JTE's first deployment to the UAE in support of Exercise IRON FALCON where we validated and verified its aircraft loading procedures on a C-5 aircraft going there and a C-17 on its return. Removed and replaced slip ring assembly during the Exercise, which normally is a week long process, but due to the high visibility of the Exercise, we replaced it in 14 hours. Coordinated in establishing an operation standard that would be later adopted and implemented Air Force Wide.

Mutes Assistant Supervisor (Ground Radar Systems Craftsman) (Msgt)Idaho Air National Guard Nov 2008 - Jul 2009Assisted in supervising and allocating 14 personnel and 3 AN/MST-T1A, Multiple Threat Emitter System (MUTES), 2 located in Mountain Home AFB and 1 deployed to Anderson AFB. Created a Community of Practice page for deployed system in Guam streamlining communication back to Mountain Home Air Force Base. Coordinated initial meeting between VaST and the 266 Range Squadron leading to a full RF Spectrum picture ranging from cellular chatter to Surface to Air Threat simulation operating simultaneously. This allowed training for aircrews interested in intercepting enemy communications while being targeted by ground threats.

Quality Assurance (Ground Radar Systems Craftsman) (Tsgt)Idaho Air National Guard Oct 2008 - Nov 2008Managed, scheduled, and planned periodic evaluations, tests, and radar acceptance procedures ensuring the unit's training procedures and work center programs were upholding the standards demanded by the Air Force and Air National Guard.

Jte Operator/Maintainer (Ground Radar Systems Craftsman) (Tsgt)Idaho Air National Guard Jul 2006 - Oct 2008Assisted in establishing an auto track work center from the ground up ranging from personnel scheduling to system development. Was part of the first fielded JTE at Mountain Home AFB where the system was put through countless hours of setup, tear down, and operations to ensure it could be capable of providing what it was advertised to do. Attended multiple Program Management Reviews to ensure we, the end user, were represented voicing our concerns and recommending future updates and upgrades. The JTE is known as a High Fidelity threat simulator utilizing various air picture sources as pointing data such as on board IFF, FAA Feeds, and ACMI data. It has the ability to remote control multiple pedestal groups from miles away using a network connection between each. It is capable of providing feedback in classified formats to be played back in a secured room for aircrew debriefs as well as unclassified for NATO Exercises.

Mocc/Mcc (Ground Radar Systems Craftsman) (Ssgt-Tsgt)Idaho Air National Guard Dec 2003 - Jul 2006Maintained maintenance continuity and tracking through the Air Force Automated Maintenance System and various Microsoft Office products. Conducted weekly meetings with Unit leadership ensuring all information is properly documented and accurate. Trained co-workers on procedures for data entry ranging from basic to advance data entry. Supervised 4 personnel and managed scheduling to cover all shifts supporting maintenance and operation windows. The Maintenance Control Center (MCC) or Maintenance Operations Control Center (MOCC) are the communications focal points for maintenance continuity and Equipment Status Reporting through data entry using the Integrated Maintenance Data System (IMDS). They are also utilized as a central point of contact for radar crews to and from remote range sites using radios as a primary source of communication.

Mte Operator/Maintainer (Ground Radar Systems Craftsman) (Ssgt)Idaho Air National Guard Mar 1998 - Dec 2003Maintained and operated the AN/MSQ-T43 Modular Threat Emitter (MTE) system Version 1 and Version 4 which is a heavy operation utilized system, relying on "skin" tracking capability for auto tracking. Each Version, accurately simulates 2 distinct surface to air threats, relying on highly skilled operators to vary the degree of training. Utilizing previous experience gained from the maintenance intense MUTES, troubleshooting the MTE System became relatively easier with operations proving more difficult than the maintenance of the system. The MTE is known as a High Fidelity "skin" tracker which makes aircrew feedback realistic especially when jamming and counter measures are used against it. The system is capable of being transported via M Series vehicles and mobilizers and a custom designed air ride flatbed trailer decreasing the amount of time for setup and tear down. It is a requirement for us to obtain a Commercial Driver's License (CDL), to ensure proper transport procedures are adhered to.

Mutes Operator/Maintainer (Ground Radar Systems Journeyman) (Sra)United States Air Force Mar 1997 - Mar 1998Randolph Afb, Tx, UsMaintained and operated the AN/MST-T1A Multiple Threat Emitter System (MUTES). Fined tuned my electronic component troubleshooting emphasizing more in transmitter specifics, ranging from Traveling Wave Tubes (TWT) to Magnetrons. Strengthened Radio Frequency knowledge using test equipment to ensure each transmitter was in operational specifications and tolerances in accordance with Air Force Technical Orders. The MUTES is a Threat Simulator designed to train aircrews on a multitude of surface to air threats using onboard Identification Friend/Foe (IFF) Radar system for auto tracking capabilities. By nature, the MUTES is known to be a maintenance intense system requiring a high skill level in electronic component troubleshooting with a basic skill level in operations. Simulating over 100 Surface to Air Threats, the MUTES is a mix between High Fidelity and Low fidelity simulation. -
Rbs Operator/Maintainer (Ground Radar Systems Apprentice) (A1C - Sra)United States Air Force Oct 1995 - Mar 1997Randolph Afb, Tx, UsMaintained and operated the AN/TPQ-T43 Radar Bomb Scoring (RBS) system accompanied by the AN/TPX-46 Identification Friend or Foe (IFF). Became proficient at component level troubleshooting to include the soldering of components in and out of circuit card assemblies (CCA) using a variety of test equipment in the process. Proficient in Digital Multi-meters, Oscilloscopes, Power Meters, Signal Generators, and Spectrum Analyzers to name a few. Obtained a 7-Level Skill on the Radar system. Assisted in shipping the RBS system off when its mission was deemed unnecessary. The RBS System was designed to accurately score Air Force B52 bombers to determine target accuracy. When the B52 airframe received a retrofit upgrade, the RBS system slowly became obsolete only utilized for Air Force Air Rodeos, operations designed to score the accuracy of the KC-135R refueling. -
