I am currently leading the implementation of our strategic imperative around client service in Sydney. This is a culture change program to transform our business to be famous for our service experience as well as for our technical capability. This has involved a significant focus on our Client Relationship Program and developing the systems, processes and organisational capability to achieve our objectives for that program. I coordinate our approach to market across GHD's five market segments in Sydney and lead our water marketing efforts. I bring a my diverse experience in the water industry to work with our clients and service lines in develop solutions for our water clients.

Leading and contributing to multi-disciplinary and multi organisational teams to deliver successful projects for GHD’s water clients. These include: Sydney Water's Biosolids Strategy; Sydney Water's Odour Control Strategy; Hawkesbury Nepean water quality and wastewater treatment strategy, Gosford-Wyong Water Masterplan (NSW); Picton Recycled Water Plant effluent management plan (NSW); Malabar Wastewater Treatment Plant Process and Reliability Renewals Alliance; and the Murrumbidgeee Irrigation Alliance.I am GHD's leadership representative on a number of joint venture committees. These include: ENSure JV (GHD/Jacobs) which has delivered over 700 individual professional services projects across a broad range of engineering and planning disciplines for Sydney Water; John Holland/UGL/Sydney Water/GHD Alliance Leadership Team for the Malabar PARR project for Sydney Water; Stantec/GHD JV for the delivery of the concept design for Warrgamaba Dam Raise for WaterNSW; and WSP/GHD JV for a major road EIS in Sydney for RMS.

Responsible for the revenue, profitability and service quality of the water group, the safety and professional development of a team of 70 across three service groups. Key achievements during this period of leadership include: Strong key client performance; Elevation of our water market profile in Sydney; Establishment and leadership of the Sydney Water Client Relationship Management team; Integration of the Urban Development team into the Water Group; Development and maintenance of relationships with contractors; and, leadership support and collaboration across the water sector professionals within GHD.

Working Exclusively for Sydney Water's Asset Solution group, Technical Manager for the design development and procurement through a design-build-operate-maintain model, of a 50ML/day ($250M) reverse osmosis based wastewater recycling and transfer project to provide environmental flows to the Hawkesbury-Nepean River.

Responsible for the leadership and management of a team of over 20 engineers and draftsmen within the Sydney office of MWH Australia. This role involved workload forecasting, resource management, staff performance reviews, strategic business planning, project reviews and quality assurance, bid management, contract reviews, mentoring and training.

Planning and strategy project highlights include the project management of Chemical vs Biological Nutrient Removal for Hawkesbury Nepean Sewage Treatment Plants (Sydney Water); Project management of the decentralised wastewater treatment study for servicing new growth (Sydney Water); Development of a strategic plan to address the long term provision of wastewater collection, treatment and reuse for the Georges River Catchment (Sydney Water); Leadership of an Integrated Water Cycle Management Strategy for Parkes Shire Council (NSW); Assessment of methods of treating bypassed wet weather sewage flows at Sydney Water sewage treatment plants as part of the Sewer Overflow Licencing Project.

Design and Project Management for a number Water and Wastewater Treatment projects across a range fo delivery freameworks. Project highlights include Design Manager (Tunnel Pump Station) and Commissioning Manager Northside Storage Tunnel Project ($450M Alliance with Transfield, Connell Wagner and Sydney Water); Project Manager for the concept design and approvals for the North Head Sewage Treatment Plant Process and Reliability Project (Sydney Water); Design Manager for North Head Sewage Treatment Plant Biosolids Processing Facilities (D&C with UGL, Sydney Water), Penrith Filter Upgrade (D&C with Lend Lease, Sydney Water), Richmond Wastewater Treatment Plant Upgrade (D&C with John Holland); Design manager for the detailed design of sludge dewatering facilities for Hong Kong’s Silvermine Bay, Tuen Mun and Tai O Water Treatment Plants (Hong Kong); Project Management of the concept design of a $75million, 21 ML/d (permeate) Sea Water Reverse Osmosis desalination scheme for Gosford/Wyong Councils (NSW) in response to a severe water scarcity.

Consulting engineer in the industrial process group in Sydney and water group in Perth. Various investigations and designs for industrial and municipal wastewater and stormwater projects. Project work included design of an oil waste treatment and recovery process for Comalco Bauxite Mine in Weipa (Qld), process water management study for Argyle Dimand Mine (WA), asset valuation project for Water Corporation (WA), low lift-high flow pump station design for Wallerawang Power Station (NSW) and wastewater management studies and concept designs for Bundeena Maianbar EIS and Ocean Shores development near Byron Bay (NSW).

Development and testing of a bench scale, low cost continuous sand filter for use in regional and rural communities. Design of a pilot scale unit for ongoing research.
