Bernie likes to see things get done and as such is motivated to drive stakeholders to achieve outcomes. To achieve this, the management of people in a fashion that takes them on a journey over the course of the project life cycle, valued as part of a team, has proven very effective in achieving outcomes. Bernie has been with Bridge 42 since 2008 and has managed a diverse range of project in this time, ranging from a large program of school based projects, to delivering local government community buildings , complex theatre facilities and highly technical University sector projects. However Bernie has found his nieche through his long term involvement with the Pubic Transport Authority and the METRONET program. It is through the planning, procurement and delivery of rail and bus related infrastructure projects that he feels he is making a worth while contribution. Bernie has specialised in managing the relocation of all service utilities effected by the re-building and extension of some of Perths' heritage railway lines. The time critical nature of these works requires careful planning, sensative stakeholder engagement and management, extensive procurement contract negotiation and development with utility owners, and then management of the logistics and rail operator related approvals necessary to allow works to progress. Bernie enjoys his involvement in large infrastructure projects of the type found in the METRONET program. He has found satisfaction in working with a dedicated project team to deliver infrastructure which will contribute positively to society.
