My role was to set up a team to lead, organise and provide direction for specialist technical employees and Authorised contractors to ensure outstanding performance is achieved in technical and people performances, HSE&Q outcomes, and the business results. My role also encompassed managing projects to achieve target outcomes for time, cost, quality and risk, liaise with commercial and high-rise planners, engineers, developers and builders from development application and design stages through to construction, completion and auditing. Liaising with Jemena Gas Networks engineers and managers, ActewAGL Distribution management team, Gas Retailers and the Utility Technical Regulator on relevant Rules, Standards and non-compliances as required, ensuring technical compliance and fitness-for-purpose of gas and hot water metering equipment is an important function of my role. I chaired fortnightly meetings with my Compliance team and monthly meetings with Zinfra Authorised contractors reporting to me. As Compliance Team Leader I have contributed to the following: • Attend ACAT hearings as a Technical Specialist at the request of ActewAGL Legal Team.• Meetings with AAD, Jemena and the Utilities Technical Regulator (UTR) to revise the Gas Service & Installation Rules • Put together a justification case to Jemena and AAD for the requirements on Type 2 Gas meter enclosures which allowed designers, builders and developers to design and build a Type 2 enclosure without going to the expense of a Hazard Area Dossier. This is now being implemented in the ACT and is included in Jemena’s revised Network Rules and will be included in the revised ActewAGL Gas Service & Installation Rules.• Meetings with Jemena Asset Management for my contribution to the revising of the Jemena Gas Network Rules.

cont'd• Put together a justification case to Jemena to reduce the distances between the domestic gas meter and residential boundary. Jemena carried out a lab test which resulted in the reduced distances.• Prior to taking on my current role, hot water meters were installed inside each high-rise apartment, which created major problems for ActewAGL e.g. disconnections for unpaid bills, arranging times with tenants to replace or test the meters. I generated the ActewAGL Hot Water Meter Installation Guidelines, which was approved by JAM and AAD. The Hot Water Meter Installation Guidelines is on the ActewAGL Network and is now being referred to by all designers, engineers and developers, and as such they are now being installed in the Common area of high rise buildings for easy access. • At the invitation of the Master Plumbers Association, I made a presentation on the GS&I Rules to the members.

My role responsibilities included:• Maintaining and calibration of all critical HP and MP gas distribution assets for ActewAGL Distribution• Completing monthly Service Orders to ensure KPI requirements are adhered to• Servicing and calibrating of Type ‘B’ gas appliances• Monitoring and auditing of contractor performance• Carrying out hazardous area compliance inspections and reporting as per Australian Standard• Ensuring client installations comply with the relevant Australian Standards prior to final connection/termination• Execute FAT, SAT and commissioning on critical High and Medium Pressure gas distribution assets as required. This included the Fyshwick Trunk Receiving Station upgrade and the Hume Pressure Reducing Station• Completing all required SWMS, Permits and documentation as required• Maintaining all telecommunication to High and Medium Pressure gas distribution assets

My role was to design, cost projects, PLC programming, project management, commissioning and troubleshoot electrical and automation requirements for both new plants and plant upgrades. Clients included:• Holcim Sand Quarries – Cooma Road and Bungendore• SunWater – Scrivener Dam and Captain Cook Memorial Jet• Talbragar Quarry – Dubbo• Hy-Tec Austen Quarry – Hartley

My role included being part of several project teams and taking the Automation and Instrumentation engineers’ team lead on several of these projects in Ireland, parts of Europe and the US Virgin Islands. This included, but not limited to, the planning and generation of documentation, Sequence of Operation, Scope of Work Specification, high level User Requirement Specification, Automation Specification, Server Specification, System Architecture, P&ID and tagging, Instrumentation Specification and Location drawings to meet the FDA requirements, ATEX, SIL and European CENELEC standards. On completion and reviewing of the documents (including data sheets, Block Wiring diagrams, SAT and FAT documents), I completed the preparation of tender documents, carried out the tender bid analysis for selection criteria, as well as integrating design requirements with other electrical, fire and engineering/architectural disciplines for various projects. Once the contract was awarded to the contractor, my role included the review of the Contractor’s documentation and attending FAT, SAT, commissioning and qualification requirements.

My role was Lead Automation and Instrumentation Engineer for the Front End Design• Schering Plough (Avondale) Co. at Rathdrum, Ireland – P6 Hydrogenation Project. My role was to the develop and generate Commissioning/Software Acceptance test protocols challenging the software Design Specification and included on-site Commissioning and Qualification of the Process and Utilities. I completed a Summary Report at completion.• Google – Dublin Data Centre (Retrofit). My role was Lead Automation, BMS and Instrumentation Engineer.• Microsoft Mega Data Centre – Dublin DB3 (Phase 1). My role was Lead Automation, Power Monitoring, BMS and Instrumentation Engineer for design, Software FAT and Hardware FAT at the factories and on site. • Microsoft Mega Data Centre – Dublin DB3 (Phase 1). My role was as an on-site Technical Support Engineer for Automation, Power Monitoring, BMS and Instrumentation.• Microsoft Mega Data Centre – Dublin DB3.3 (Phase 2). My role was Lead Automation, BMS and Instrumentation Engineer for design, Software FAT and Hardware FAT at the factories and on site.• Diagio – US Virgin Islands (New Rum Manufacturing Facility). My role was to review the Functional Specification, Automation Specification and the Automation System Architecture and provide ongoing Technical support for Automation during the design and construction stages.• Vistakon (Limerick) Ireland – Contact Lens Cleaning Solution Project. My role was Lead Automation and Instrumentation Engineer for design.• Vistakon (Limerick) Ireland – IPA 3GT Project. My role was Lead Automation and Instrumentation Engineer for commissioning and qualification of the plant and generation of final commissioning report.• Coca Cola (Bond Project) – Initially a confidential Client. My role was as Team Leader for Automation and Instrumentation Engineers to carry out detailed design for the new plant on a Greenfield site.

My role was Senior Automation Engineer for SAT, commissioning and document review.
