The Gorgon project at Barrow Island is one of the world’s largest natural gas projects and the largest single resource natural gas project in Australia’s history. Leighton Contractors scope involves the delivery of all concrete works and underground services for the three LNG trains, including 775,000 m3 of earthworks, 145,000 m3 of in-situ and 75,000 m3 of precast concrete. Underground services include drainage, 46 km’s of piping and 3000 Km's of electrical and instrumentation cabling at Barrow Island. Current position as Area Manager for the Utilities and GTG's (Gas Turbine Generators) involves the overall management of all construction activities related to the complete and on time handover of all elements required for 1st Fire of the GTG's, which is one of the first and key stages in the commissioning process.

Estimating and procurement of all projects for company in both Ireland and the UK. Projects included earthworks, drainage, site enabling works, landfill construction and capping including installation of geotextiles, HDPE linings and leachate extraction pipework. Responsibilities also included managing various contracts both in the Ireland and the UK, including compilation, submission and agreement of monthly progress accounts.

Overall management of all construction projects in the Munster region.Maintaining relationship with existing clients and develope relationships with potential clients. Overall responsibilty for sourcing and estimating potential contracts. Agreement and settlement of final accounts.
