I joined the Board in February 2008 and became Chair in December 2012. Prior to being Chair I also Chaired the Foundations Finance Committee. As Chair of the Board, I work with my fellow Directors, our CEO and team to support medical research conducted at the Hospital and to ensure the highest standards of governance and continual alignment to the Foundation’s mission. - In 2016 we allocated more than $2.5 million in new grant funding for medical research- We initiated a “New Investigator” funding program to encourage and nurture the next generation of Australian medical researchers - In 2015 we launched our new fund raising platform “The Common Good”. Four out of five people are affected by chronic disease, living in pain or fearing for their life.
