Worked the summers of 2008 and 2009 loading cargo on to very large refrigerated ships. During the first half of the 2008 summer I worked mostly outside on the dock as a "rigger" where I guided the crane operator and attached straps onto cargo that was raised into the ship. I was then promoted by some the "lead" workers and placed on a crew that worked inside the ship. Inside the ship workers, including myself, were motivated by incentive pay. This environment gave me very good experience working as a team and communicating with a very diverse group of people.

During the summer of 2006 I worked at a family owned full service gas station where I socialized with customers, repaired tires, checked fluids, and pumped gas. During this job I was educated by both the owners and fellow workers about the value of good customer service. I gained experience communicating and working with variety of people from many different backgrounds.
