Supporting individual giving, with a focus on volunteer driven giving.This NGO is now known as All Hands and Hearts.

Humanitarian research, specific to disasters in Vanuatu and Nepal. On the ground field work, providing support to humanitarian assistance.

Detroit:I joined All Hands as a volunteer disaster responder, following historic floods in the city. We gutted and sanitised homes that were affected by the flood, working closely with the co-coordinating cities and FEMA. I became a team leader as well as a safety officer. Boston: All Hands was asked to assist residents of southern Boston who were struggling to cope with extreme winter storms. As first person on the ground, my role was to manage the logistics of reaching out to community leaders and setting up a base. From then we managed the intake of volunteers and ensured that work crews were helping residents within three days of deciding to respond. As a Team Leader I led crews and ensured their wellbeing and safety as we dug out paths and vehicles for vulnerable residents.

Commissioning and managing program of art that connected with communities of place and communities of interest in County Galway. This included major partnerships with festivals and organisations, giving a voice and allowing access to art to hidden, disadvantanged and remote communities in the region. Managing procurement processes. Consultation for other organisations. Grant writing and compliance. Managing and assessing grant schemes.
