Bernardo has a JD and Doctorate degree by the Catholic University of Ecuador (1989), a Diploma by the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law (1989) and various training courses, including a CEO Management Certificate by the Northwestern University, Kellog School of Management (2004) and a certificate by Singularity University (2017) on exponential technologies and leadership.
