- Spearheaded a research primer on green methanol with a focus on maritime shipping applications for the Renewable Fuels team at BNEF.- Built a detailed database of over 50 current and future green methanol projects across the globe.- Assessed key demand drivers within and outside the shipping industry to assess the scope of green methanol adoption as an alternative fuel.- Leveraged BNEF data tools and forecasts to evaluate and compare the total cost of ownership of methanol-powered vessels versus fossil fuel-powered vessels under various emissions-compliance scenarios.- Synthesized my findings and analysis into a comprehensive research note published on the Bloomberg Terminal and BNEF website.- Presented the contents of my research in a meeting attended by all BNEF analysts in North America- Seamlessly organized my report, data, and graphics for BNEF to present in future client meetings

• Performed hands-on electrocatalysis experiments to study the Hydrogen Evolution Reaction (HER) in concentrated saltwater.• Used potentiostat device to conduct cyclic voltammetry and potentiometry tests on platinum electrodes coated with titanium oxide in 1M NaCl solutions with varying concentrations of MgCl2.• Applied ellipsometry techniques to measure thin-layer titanium oxide coatings.• Developed experimental plan to test conditions at which Pt electrode would be most stable and efficient in conducting HER. • Performed data analysis in Excel to compare different experiments and discern the optimal conditions for carrying out HER.• Delivered weekly updates as well as building a cumulative end-of-summer report to my PhD mentor and professor.
