- PCB Design using EAGLE: custom multi channel laser driver system for reliability testing, boards for VCSEL drive system- Circuit design: design of the circuits implemented in the custom PCBs using current drivers, high voltage amplifiers, power rail management, thermoelectric coolers, and ESD/power protection circuits.- FPGA design using Xilinx Vivado: using Red Pitaya programmed a waveform generator and high speed data acquisition system used to interpret laser performance and control the system designed in house.- Python programming for test set ups: NI VISA, PyVISA, PySerial, SCIPI commands for instrument interfacing- Build and regularly use fiber optic networks and their components for our laser system: including wavelength demodulators (WDM), isolators, optical amplifiers, Mach-Zander interferometers (MZI), pump lasers and different types of fiber.- Regularly report reliability test results to the fabrication team to help them make important design decisions. Manage and track all test data for the devices tested in-house.- Direct customer interfacing and delivery date tracking for our product: customer support, data sheet generation, and approval before our product is shipped out.- Digital interfaces used in systems: UART, SPI, I2C- Manage and track progress for our Electrical Engineering interns along with a capstone team made up of 5 UC Santa Barbara students
