Responsible for software development for interfaces to and from advertising systems such as advertising booking, billing to email, and interfaces to editorial planning systems. Underlying technology used is mostly C# .NET, web services using WCF, ASP.NET among others. Besides this I often do ad-hoc development depending on business requirements which is both enjoyable to me and provides a great opportunity for learning new technologies. I am also active in analysis, design and the QA process being in a corporate.

Global Recall changed ownership and was renamed Meticulus Solutions. As Managing Director in South Africa I performed a dual role of managing the Cape Town staff and offices of Meticulist Solutions but mainly performing functions that fell into the sphere of software engineering/developing as well as project management duties. During this time I developed for document management systems as well as later for Anoto Digital Pen forms automation systems. Technologies used were C# .NET, C++, ASP.NET and VB.

Kinesis Computing changed ownership and was renamed Global Recall. As General Manager I performed a dual role of managing the Cape Town staff and offices of Meticulist Solutions as well as performing functions that fell into the sphere of software engineering/developing as well as project management duties. During this time the development work done was VB based integration between document management systems and bulk scanning products.

As a Software Engineer, the main aspect of my role was combining analysis, design and programming to ensure that projects are completed to customer’s satisfaction. Other activities include providing support for customers after project completion. The vast majority of the work was with the integration of Document Management Systems with other systems, such as archiving, bulk scanning. These systems included Documentum (now ECM) and OpenText Livelink.
