About Bernd Hoffmann

Experienced professional with more than 25 years of experience in software development for embedded systems in the telecommunications and semiconductor industry. Having worked on Broadband Access, Voice over IP and Ethernet my passion is communication which brings people together. As a technical expert I lead a small team to add value through software to our semiconductor products. My focus is on working solutions for our customers and at the same time protecting their investments by providing backward compatible systems.In my role as software developer I define the architecture and develop drivers for Linux on embedded platforms. Being in the world of embedded systems I like to think outside the box and also work deep in the hardware domain. From schematics and soldering to signal measurements I have the skills to find issues wherever they may be and get systems working. I work with colleagues of different cultural backgrounds from all domains on projects distributed to multiple international locations. As expert myself I work with our regional customer support to provide the best possible support for our products.From requirement engineering over version control and compilers to documentation I have worked with many software tools in my career. But I am also familiar with power supplies, oscilloscopes, logic analysers or traffic generators and analysers.
