Responsible for positioning m-powa in the distance learning market as the leading provider of web-based training, building long-term business relationships with IT- and distance learning-based companies and organizations and increase sales and turnover of m-powa to facilitate future growth of the company and the industry through key account management. Roles included proposals, customer account management, contracts, project management, and presentations. Key achievements included:• Increased leads from about 120 to over 400 over 8 months• Co-developer and initiator of a unique model for cross-sectoral collaboration between government, business, labour, academia and NGO’s in e-Learning which led to management and implementation of the Rosslyn Learning Project through the m-powa Foundation, funded by the IDRC and which was a finalist in the Stockholm Awards in 2001.

In the Division for Microelectronics and Communications Technology facilitated the emergence of new strategic partnerships, and reinforced existing ones with organizations in South Africa and globally. Assisted in the development of future business opportunities for CSIR via the identification and co-creation of emerging markets.
