Throughout my career I was driven by innovation and the idea to push boundaries. I did my PhD in synthetic biology followed by the creation of my own Start-up in the skin microbiome field.I focussed most of my professional time on the use of bacteria as living pills. First using advanced genetic engineering and then through the direct reshuffling of natural bacteria living on us.I am a strong entrepreneurship professional who can bring the trash out, measure remotely proteins on a synchrotron, assemble thousands of DNA base pairs in one go, understand a clinical trial and if you leave me with a machine and a manual alone it will be running at the end of the day. In short, I get things going. My biggest asset for this is my analytical mindset which allows me to understand quickly running systems and find errors or loopholes. My second biggest asset is my flexibility if the job requires it and fit in nearly every role the team needs. The only constant in this is that I always try to optimize procedures. My most important skill however is connected to the skills I don’t have. Every time when I don’t know how to do something, miss a machine or need to run an experiment I don’t know. I usually find quickly a person that has the necessary expertise or let me use their machine.
Listed skills include Protein Purification, X Ray Crystallography, Molecular Cloning, Synthetic Biology, and 21 others.
