My role included - Marketing Sligo Airport and its portfolio of products and services.- Preparation and implementation of annual marketing plan and monitoring its performance- Liaising with add design agencies- Responsibility for public relations and preparation of Sligo Airport press releases- Assisted in preparation of company strategic business plan- Responsibility for new business development- Overall responsibility for staff delivery of excellent customer service- Main ambassador for Sligo Airport at meetings with our stakeholders and other organisations, at Trade Fairs and all Promotional Events- Develped and built relationships with local businesses, tourist organisations, hospitality sector. - Prepared submissions for grant aid- Prepared, collated and presented various reports and monthly statistics- Responsibility for recruitment and training of Customer Service/Passenger Check-in Agents- Preparation and updating of individual training files for Customer Service team - Trained Internal Auditor under the Sligo Airport Safety Management System- Managed various Sligo Airport events Achievements within This Role:Organised and event managed very successful Sligo Airport Open Day Sept 2010I was largely responsible for influencing Aer Arann’s decision to commence a new route from Sligo to Manchester and succeeded in persuading Sir Alex Ferguson to launch this service in May 2007.Successfully negotiated with popular local band “Westlife” to voluntarily assist in the promotion of this new route in the UK
