This involved me traveling to the United States and working with some large golf franchise companies (Golf Smith, Edwin Watts, Nevada Bobs) then using a hybrid of their franchise models to develop our own very successful system. I attended a franchise course and worked with the company lawyers and accountants to finalise what we believe is a cutting edge retail ownership scheme.Orchestrating the buyout of 5 stores in Sydney in 2003. These stores were running under the name of "Nevada Bobs" and were being perused by other golf retailers. Our subsequent buyout and takeover made our chain the largest in Sydney where we now dominate the market. This has significantly slowed our competitor's expansion plans. We now hold over 25% of the "off course" golf market in Sydney (as per the last Ernst Young Golf in Australia survey 2005)
