We deliver this through:> Our Fatherhood work which offers services ranging from one-day courses for new and expectant dads to support for young dads. > Our School work which supports boys as they go through key transitions in their lives, inspiring them to make positive choices for their futures.> Our Community, Outreach & Development work were we build strong trusted relationships with young men and support them to think differently, recover agency and develop positive connections and social networks. > We advocate for boys and men through influencing policy and practice, whilst addressing the stereotypes around masculinity and engaging in the wider conversation of what it means to be a man. Our work addresses some of the biggest societal issues facing this group, such as low education attainment, poor mental health and youth violence.We would love to hear from from you. Founded by Alan Turing’s family, The Turing Trust seeks to continue his legacy by using technology to empower disadvantaged communities. Alan is widely regarded as the father of modern computing and he saw IT as a tool for solving immense challenges. He also had a passion for helping others: he funded one member of his foster family to work in Africa and sponsored a Jewish refugee’s schooling during World War II. In honour of Alan Turing’s altruistic spirit, we refurbish IT equipment, install a range of educational software and provide it to those who need it most. In the last 13 years we have enabled access to computers for over 169,000 students across Africa, Asia and the UK. With your help and a great deal of hard work, we believe that one day every child will be able to enjoy the transformative power of technology that Alan envisioned.

The new purpose-built building for Bristol Children’s Hospital opens in April 2001 with around 100 patients transferred from the old Victorian hospital building to the new state-of-the-art facility. The iconic ‘Lollipop’ sculpture which stands proudly outside the children’s hospital, which we funded, is erected. Our fundraising total reaches an astonishing £12 million! The Prince of Wales returns to Bristol and performs the opening ceremony for the new hospital and meets current patients.
