About Benoit Roussel
I am a Partner at the Brussels office of Flint Global, the business advisory specialising in policy, regulation and competition. Having worked in and around the EU institutions for 15 years, I specialise in EU public policy, with a particular focus on digital, competition and health policy. I also increasingly work on energy transition and sustainability issues, including sustainable finance. Over the past decade, I have been in charge of designing and implementing major EU and pan-European public affairs and strategic communications campaigns on policy, regulatory and reputational issues including antitrust cases and market access. I have advised leading European and non-European companies from a broad range of industries on EU public policy issues including competition and industrial policy, platform regulation (DMA, DSA) and other digital policy files (AI, data flows), data protection (GDPR), cybersecurity, IPR, taxation, standards and more. I also advise pharma and biotech companies on European public affairs and strategic communications, including as a communications and media trainer. Prior to joining Flint, I was a Partner in the Brussels office of Omnicom-owned agency Portland. A convinced and passionate pro-European, I am also involved in a number of pro-EU initiatives and I regularly write and teach about EU politics and policies.
