About Bert Deen
Bert was born and raised in Amsterdam where he got his bachelors degree in mechanical engineering. After a short commercial position as a sales engineer on measurement equipment Bert joined the Delft University of Technology (TU Delft). He spent exactly 13 years on Foundry Technology and Materials Science as manager of an experimental foundry contributing to research and education.Then he moved to the Faculty of Industrial Design Engineering at TU Delft. At IDE he worked as a teacher and was responsible for 3D CAD modelling, technical drawing/technical documentation (TecDoc) and CAE simulations within the faculty. He was also involved in teaching other disciplines regarding industrial product design, manufacturing and materials science as well as project coaching.This year Bert left the university environment to spread his knowledge outside Delft. He started a new job on teaching at the Rotterdam Mainport University (Hogeschool Rotterdam). Simultaneously Bert founded his own company 3Deen and operates as CEO, now. 3Deen is specialized in Consultancy and Training on 3D CAD and Product Design and 3D Printing:- 3D CAD Modelling and Technical Drawing (e.g. SolidWorks Instructor)- Product Development/Product Design- Development of course material, workshops and training- Rapid Prototyping / 3D Printing
