Being a self-motivated and driven person with an approachable demeanour I’m by nature a people person, forming and developing relationships is my forte and so customer relationship management seems effortless to me.Currently I’m an Acute Integrated Care Systems (ICS) Manager in Humber and North Yorkshire working for SCCL, the Management Function for the new NHS Supply Chain, my core objective is the delivery of savings on clinically safe, high quality products for the best possible value for Trusts within my region. My key stakeholder network includes the likes of Directors of Procurement, Director of Finance, Business partners and Senior Contracting Managers through to clinical leads. Whilst working with these decision-making associates there’s a necessity to align their procurement approach to our business strategy, fundamentally the successful delivery of £2.4bn of savings within the first five years of operation, which can be used by the NHS for reinvestment in front line services.I will challenge the status quo thus demonstrating how small changes can make significant differences, supported by examples of best practice adopted by other Trusts nationally and within my region.I’ve previously worked for the MoJ within the secure environments sector; I’m well accustomed to dealing with somewhat challenging and confrontational personalities, I’ve skills to deal with adversity and can deescalate a situation or influence the mind-set of a person, these are qualities I have been able to transfer into my every day; supported with my change management tools I’m well equipped to manage the unmanageable.
