Assist the Vice President of Academic Affairs in the effective management and supervision of the Academic Affairs Department additionally providing counsel to the Vice President as needed. Manage, supervise, motivate and/or train team of Academic Directors (AD’s). Provide leadership and support in the management of the Education Department to help attain key drivers, including student credit ratio, expense to revenue and persistence targets. Coordinate faculty hiring process with AD’s and Human Resources, interviewing and recommending qualified candidates. Provide input and participate in the evaluations of ADs with the Vice President and oversee special projects as assigned and directed by the VPAA.

With the assistance of Culinary and Hospitality faculty I was responsible for developing, presenting and initiating the institution of an AAS program in Hospitality Management and was charged with writing the initial proposal and course development for a BA in Hospitality ManagementLeading and managing the academic operations of the Culinary Program, including curriculum development, staffing, faculty evaluation and development for a department of 22 faculty membersImplementing change management and effectiveness into the program as well as budgeting and purchasing of all food and supplies for culinary classes as well as the student operated restaurantPrimary student advisor and counselor for the department. This program grew from 350 students to over 700 students, while increasing persistence and assisting in job placement of graduates during my tenure
