A college seminar, Urban Economics, piqued my interest in how we use land --how we allocate it between business and residential uses, why neighborhoods form to suit resident preferences, where amenities spring up, which governmental or business interests get a say in urban development. This fascination in urban and regional development pushed me towards my career in real estate and homebuilding.My work involves finding land for residential development and negotiating contract terms with its owners. I manage the acquisition process including financial underwriting, site design and due diligence. I am engaged in continuing market intelligence projects throughout our geography and I build feasibility analyses for all acquisition projects.I am a graduate of Amherst College -where I studied economics and philosophy, earning honors distinctions- and of the University of Florida -where I earned my MBA. I am also an accredited member of the Congress for the New Urbanism and a member of the Urban Land Institute.
