As the Manager of Business Systems and Applications at QCS, I lead a multifaceted team comprising developers, database administrators, testers, and data analysts. My primary responsibility is to oversee the development, enhancement, and support of critical business systems that are meticulously tailored to the unique requirements of our varied user groups. I collaborate closely with internal IT teams and business stakeholders to understand application requirements and deliver optimal solutions. Understanding that people and culture are the most critical success factors, I am dedicated to promoting the growth of our team members and cultivating a culture of collaboration.

In this multi-disciplinary role as team leader and senior subject matter expert, I managed the technology environments of the university's mission-critical business systems. This included the formulation and execution of team operational plans and platform roadmaps in alignment with the organization's IT objectives, whilst accounting for industry shifts and changes to IT operating models. Its successful delivery was enabled by fostering a culture of open communication, teamwork and establishing collaborative work practices.

As a senior applications and database platforms specialist, I led a high performing team managing all operational facets of enterprise database, middleware and application server technologies.

As a Senior Database Administrator, I performed and coordinated support and maintenance activities of the University's enterprise scale database systems. In addition, I provided technical leadership on various system upgrade projects and innovation initiatives.
