I have taught skiing several seasons on a part-time basis. I love to teach all ages, from two to adult, group lessons to privates. It is very gratifying to share a sport I love with people. But even more than that, I love to watch their fears melt as their skills and confidence grow. My hope is they take the experience of conquering something new, that often feels impossible, to every walk of their life. I have one rule: I don't allow "I can't" uttered in my classes. And if they forget that rule, it's mandatory that it's replaced with "It's hard, but I'll try" and "It gets easier every time." Teaching skiing is just another way I can coach people to believe in themselves. I encourage them to apply self belief and confidence gained in learning to ski to their whole lives.
