About Berta Capella Roca

I am an ambitious life sciences researcher with expertise in molecular biology and biopharmaceutical cell line development. I have dedicated more than 7 years to academic research, building up experience in project planning & development, experimental work and data analysis, with a focus on delivering high quality results. In 2020, I was awarded with the Faculty of Science and Health Outstanding Graduate Researcher Award for my PhD accomplishments, including the publication of four first author articles and the co-invention of a patent for the selection of producer cell lines. These accomplishment showcase my scientific writing, problem-solving and creative/directed-thinking skills. During my post-doc I mentored a PhD student, this opportunity allowed me to develop my coaching and leadership skills. For the past year, I have moved to a different role, looking to broaden my soft skills and gain insight in the clinical trials industry. As a project manager for the targeted literature review team, I am expanding my organisational skills to deliver tailored projects to my clients that satisfy their needs. I am a highly motivated and enthusiastic researcher looking for new professional challenges within the pharmaceutical industry. I look forward to adapting and applying my current knowledge to achieve new goals within an industrial setting.
