I started with Drupal back in the drop.org days. Registered the drupal.org domain and gave this to the community. I organised DrupalCon 2005 in Amsterdam and 2007 in Barcelona, started the DrupalJam camps in the Netherlands and have been organising (nearly) all of them, have been an active Permanent Member in the first Drupal Association ("vzw") and started the Stichting Drupal Nederland and have been a board member for nearly a decade.

I worked as a contractor for AT&T where I managed some of the largest websites in Europe and corporate firewalls for Fortune 500 companies.

As a student I wrote articles and stories for the Dutch paper bi-monthly "Amiga Magazine". This magazine was dedicated to the Commodore Amiga computer. The circulation was around 20.000-50.000 subscribers and it was distributed in the Netherlands and the Dutch speaking part of Belgium.I talked to soft- and hardware vendors to get demo copies of their work, investigated their products and wrote stories about their products.
