The Green & Healthy Homes Initiative (GHHI) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit entity with the vision of advancing the social determinants of health and racial equity through healthy housing. With an emphasis on black and brown communities, GHHI delivers improved health, economic and social outcomes. GHHI supports housing, environmental health, and energy efficiency services for families in communities around the country, as well as conducting direct services in Maryland. Also provided planning and grant writing support to establish a new Health Equity Zone in Providence to reduce health related disparities. Raised $2.4 million over a 24 month period for both initiatives.* Raised over $1.2 million from multiple sources to help the Housing Network of Rhode Island and NeighborWorks Blackstone River Valley establish a new statewide tenant education/eviction prevention initiative to reduce affordable housing provider costs and prevent homelessness. * Secured seed funding allowing the Housing Network of Rhode Island to establish a statewide collective impact initiative to increase the supply of affordable housing in the State.* Served as interim Executive Director for the Rhode Island Coalition for the Homeless, stabilizing the organization after a period of extended executive transition and returned a year later to complete a new strategic plan.
