Started out as developer on the legacy applications with the goal of increasing maintainability. This lead to heavy involvement in the introducting of Continuous Integration and Delivery as well as the agile transformation. Both within these teams as within the Europe IT organisation as a whole.This involved, among other things: * discussions about agile approach * codifying of a development process, both for clarity as well as for faster onboarding of external people * setting up build pipelines to reinforce the development process, using Jenkins, SonarQube, among others * migrating multiple projects from Subversion, and even CVS, to Git (using TFS/Azure DevOps)Over time I took on the responsibility of Technical Owner/Tech Lead for the initial legacy applications as well as other applications for which the teams I was part were responsible, among which were some new developments.For I while I also served one of the teams as Scrum master, relinquishing that responsibility when team structure changed to be able to focus on the role of Tech Lead.

Middleware development, exposing and calling both REST and SOAP services, using mostly Scala as programming language (with a bit of Java here and there) and using the Akka framework for concurrency.
