I'm one of four directors in charge of Good Day Chicago. During the six hours of live newscasts, I rotate between directing and floor directing. When I direct, I'm also in charge of blocking and coding the show using Sony ELC.

This was a rotating job. When I was assigned to TD/Direct I was in charge of blocking, coding of rundown and production execution of a newscast. As an audio operator I controlled audio for the 5pm and 10pm newscasts. As a Viz graphics operator, I was in charge of lower thirds, full screens, and plasmas for the shows. I also checked commercial spots in master control and set up feeds.
