I am a journalist and photographer from Hong Kong who mainly collaborate with major international outlets like AFP, Bloomberg, AP, and EPA. My work appears in premier publications such as The Washington Post, The New York Times, TIME, The Wall Street Journal, Fortune, Financial Times, The Guardian, The Economist, and Al Jazeera English.My work examines the complexities of identity, culture, and social interactions in Hong Kong, highlighting the impact of recent social and political changes on people’s lives.I began my journalist journey as a field producer with Al Jazeera English during the tumultuous protests of 2019, a pivotal moment in Hong Kong's history. This experience deepened my understanding of the importance of human-centered reporting, emphasizing individual stories within broader social contexts.My photography work covering the 2019 Hong Kong protests garnered international recognition, including winning 1st place in International Photography Award and Budapest International Foto Awards, shortlisted at The Prix de la Photographie Paris: P×3 and highly commended at Belfast Photo Festival; my project was exhibited at the Helsinki Photo Festival. Additionally, Al Jazeera English won bronze at the New York Festival for its television coverage of the protests.I cover a diverse array of feature stories and significant political events, including the handover anniversary, elections, the global impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic, the introduction of the National Security Law, and the death of Queen Elizabeth II. I also contribute to the local culture magazine, BeingHK, focusing on feature stories. Apart from being a photographer, I am also a news producer, working on the news and planning desks at Al Jazeera Headquarters in Doha, Qatar.I am available for editorial assignments and feature stories in Hong Kong.
