CurrentThe non-profit AI International Film Festival focuses on film makers' visions about how Artificial Intelligence will reshape our lives and also highlights films made using AI. Now in its third year, the AI International Film Festival receives and judges 75 submissions per month from countries around the world, and hosts short film festivals at regular intervals (see aifilmfest.org).On May 11th 2023, 7 experts from around the world participated in the informative panel “How AI and ChatGPT will Affect our Lives” followed by a lively audience discussion at Industry SLC in Utah.The Festival May 12 - 14 2023 enjoyed more in-person viewers for its 43 films from 23 countries than the newly launched blockbuster Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 3, and received strong positive feedback, with one 20-year seasoned Sundance festival fan stating this was “better than Sundance”.The festival hosts monthly events in a short format, providing a consistent and collaborative platform bringing together tech industry, education, the arts, students and concerned citizens. The AI International Film Festival is committed to nurturing talent and providing opportunities for students from diverse backgrounds. Quite a number of talented film students have joined our team, providing key skills central to our success while providing them with invaluable experience and contacts.
