Coordinated efforts to modernize the Shop website and tech stack. Established patterns for implementing backend APIs compatible with a modern frontend web stack and developed frontend expertise to establish best practices for maintaining a modern web app. Delivered the team’s first GraphQL subgraph in Kotlin to integrate with the larger Block federated supergraph.

Maintained and improved the health and development of the services powering JUMP bike and scooter products; this included vehicle communications, end-to-end rental workflow management, and our integrations with 3rd party partners, like CityScoot. Led the end-to-end integration of Lime in the Uber app. This initiative surfaced Lime scooters, pricing information, on-trip details, and powered post-trip billing all within the Uber app.

As a new grad, I took ownership of several backend services and systems; these included the in-app top carousel, promotions system, and the fares stack. Delivered "fare integrity" for Eats users, which is the guarantee that “what you see, is what you pay.” Rearchitected the legacy fares stack to support the ever expanding list of fare requirements per new market (e.g. bag fees, food taxes, dynamic pricing).

Implemented a service to filter for completed and failed jobs, as well as clean up the allocated resources. Allowed for configurable actions by ingesting an XML config file. Automated the workflow for initializing and deploying the Palo Alto Networks VM-Series firewall into a client’s virtual data center (“push a button, get a firewall”).

Delivered a prototyped web app for developing and debugging Workday’s internal development language. Used an interactive tree layout to provide a visual representation of the call stack with parameter details. Implemented using HTML/CSS and JS libraries. Second iteration was ported to Java using GWT.
