This volunteer role focuses on shareholder engagement and representation to provide board oversight and governance to the running of the Island Development.

Exploring AW through the Graduate Programme allowed me to contribute to many impactful projects and inspiring teams. A summary of each placement is below.Sustainability Work with the Natural Capital East partners to develop and agree scope, governance, project plan and funding proposals. Effective stakeholder engagement skills, enabled the development of a coherent collaborative natural capital investment plan and successfully achieving the Reputational ODI.Water Recycling Optimisation Create visibility of a risk profile across the Water Recycling Treatment Business Stream. This focussed on the manual intervention activity required by operational staff to maintain compliance. Brands and Comms Review and identify improvements to team processes and structure. Alongside developing and delivering a proactive comms strategy. Smart Strategy Programme Supported the development of this work that has the protentional to transform the organisation’s future operating model. Involved an in depth understanding of strategy development, Smart innovation, and all current in-flight initiatives and leading the preparation and launch of a new analytics team.Water Performance Attained excellent year 2 Low Pressure PCL target (achieved 58; Ofwat target below 150; AW stretch target below 120) through persuading stakeholders of the merits of alternative approaches that enabled the development of innovative initiatives. Long Term Delivery Strategy Support the development and launch of work on the new LTDS. Including developing and deliver a communications strategy to improve key stakeholder’s understanding of the LTDS, as well as, acting as a principal point of contact for consultants who will be working on developing the project’s methodologies.
