Jimek was established to give IDE Utveckling in house prototype manufacturing capacity. At Jimek, the SCAN COIN coin counting machines and the Aimpoint gun-sights were developed. An other product was a moisturizing system for newspaper printing presses.This product was developed together with SDS, leading newspaper in southern Sweden. It eventually led to that SDS and later Baldwin bought the company.
