Lost again is a small company where we like to experiment with new media and interactive storytelling. Our latest project, Meryll wants a Cookie, has been nominated for the A Maze Award 2018. Through innovative point&click design, we challenge the player to find different solutions to one simple problem: getting a cookie.Currently we're exploring possibilities of a game set in a science fiction world. This point&click adventure game is based around Noir themes and aims to offer the player intuitive ways to solve obstacles. One of our last projects entailed the creation of a web-based educational game for the museum in Thorn, Netherlands. The game was aimed at 7 - 12 year old. It teaches kids about local history, elements of Dutch and European history and gives kids the awareness that not every story is true and sources lie for their benefit. Also, it has a ghost. We developed a special web-based game engine for this purpose. We have also designed a serious game simply called 'Het Burgemeesterspel' (the mayorgame). In this Dutch-language game, the player is a mayor of a middle-sized town who needs to oversee the organisation of a large party. The player learns about the responsibilities of a mayor and the dilemmas a mayor will have to deal with. The player makes choices and the game's outcome reflect those choices. Our first full-scale project is the Alternate Reality Game/Serious Game De Cuyperscode (http://www.cuyperscode.nl), an experiment to bring secondary school students in contact with the works of the Dutch architect P.H. Cuypers (Rijksmuseum, Amsterdam Central Station). We are currently developing a few other projects, amongst which an online adventure game engine (based on the one we used for the Cuyperscode 2).Finally, we made a silly thing called the Fanficmaker. This creates terrible stories based on the user's input. This is also the first application of our home-made semantics engine, allowing for unexpected yet not-entirely-random outcomes.

ARWave dedicates itself to the creation of a protocol for Augmented Reality based on the Wave protocol. We want to provide an open and free way for people to create, host and share their own AR content without the involvement of a single commercial third party. The user keeps control of the data and the power to decide to whom to publish the date to.We believe that this way, we can create an open Augmented Reality structure for both commercial and non-commercial initiatives.
The Consumentenbond is the Dutch equivalant of Which! Magazine and Consumer Report. I worked as intern at the Consumentengids, the magazine of the Consumentenbond. Here I've learned to be precise and critical about the subjects I write about. I've also learned a lot about working within a professional team.
