My legal practice is focused on the defense of maritime claims, complex litigation (including class action and mass tort litigation), and the defense of claims involving product liability. I represent insurance carriers in coverage work and bad faith litigation as well as Northwest commercial vessel interests, a large tanker operator, and numerous marine underwriters. I also represent several manufacturers in product liability litigation including: Atlas Copco, Bayer, Nacco, and Merck. Much of the product liability work that I do involves the pharmaceutical industry and I have extensive experience in professional liability litigation. I’ve represented clients in federal and state courts in Alaska, Washington and Oregon, having tried over 100 cases through verdict, winning over 90 percent of those cases.I’ve been recognized for inclusion in Washington Super Lawyers, which is an annual listing of outstanding lawyers who have attained a high degree of peer recognition and professional achievement; and in 2012, was named to their "Top 100" list of Washington attorneys in all practice areas.
