Bert joined Strategic Financial Solutions in 2005 and started in the Financial Services Industry in 1998. He is an Investment Adviser Representative with Commonwealth Financial Network. Bert is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNERTM professional, having successfully completed rigorous coursework in financial planning, insurance, investments, tax planning, retirement planning and estate planning. He also has a FINRA Series 7, and 66 securities registration and Life and Health insurance license. Bert’s background, knowledge and diverse history with corporate retirement plans helps provide clients with a quality client service experience. Bert also maintains his Accredited Investment Fiduciary (AIF) designation through Fi360 and is an Accredited Investment Fiduciary Analyst (AIFA).Bert has been able to extend his experiences with corporate retirement plans, institutional investment platforms and asset allocation work to individuals to help assist with their financial planning, retirement planning, and investment needs. His focus on creating a positive client service experience continues to build loyalty with our wonderful clients and corporate plan participants. Bert is active locally and within the financial services industry as a member of the Cedar Rapids Estate Planning Council, NAIFA-Cedar Rapids (National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors), the Cedar Rapids Economic Alliance, Leadership for Five Seasons, and the ESOP Association.Bert and his wife, Tia, are blessed with two children, Collin and Paige. Growing up on a farm outside of Essex (Southwest Iowa) is still core to Bert’s work ethic, values and desire to help others. The kids keep the family very busy with their extracurricular activities.
