Main Activities:▪ Research on novel methods for the automatic Change Detection in satellite remote sensing image time series.▪ Development of novel methods based on Machine Learning and statistical analysis for the automatic detection of changes in optical and radar remote sensing images. ▪ Data statistical analysis and modelling (e.g., trends, inference, prediction).▪ Geographic Information System (GIS) data geostatistical analysis and modelling.▪ Participation at international conferences and oral presentation of the research results.▪ Participation in 3 research projects: » CCI+ project (Climate Change Initiative Extension Phase 1 New Essential Climate Variables High Resolution Land Cover ECV, HR_LandCover_cci) for the European Space Agency (ESA); » SEOM-CCN project (Scientific Exploitation of Operational Missions S2-4Sci Land and Water Change Contract Notice) for ESA; » FIREO project (A high resolution burned area detection processor for Sentinel-2 and Landsat-8 optical satellites) for e-Geos, Rome.▪ Teaching activities involving the tutoring of 6 students attending bachelor and master courses at the University of Trento during their project and thesis activities.▪ Supervision of exams for the Remote Sensing Systems course.▪ Worked as reviewer for international journals, i.e., the IEEE Journal of Selected Topics in Applied Earth Observations and Remote Sensing (JSTARS).
