Bertram has over 15 years’ experience in the building and construction sector. He is currently Business Development executive for DevTech. Prior to this Bertram held the position of Group Managing Director (MD) at one of the fast-growing black owned construction companies, overseeing 15 subsidiaries with a combined order book of over R 6.4 billion. Bertram is very passion about CSI. During his stint as Group MD, he built over 100 houses for the elderly, disabled and child-headed households. He holds several qualifications in Project Management, most current being a Post-grad Diploma in Project Management.In the earlier years of his career, he led massive construction projects, which include: (i) rural electrification and one of the biggest indoor sports complex in Limpopo; (ii) schools and hospitals in Mpumalanga; and student accommodation in Northern Cape.He is a seasoned Executive, specialising in Project Management with demonstrated expertise in the Building and Construction sector. Bertram is currently a Board Member at MK Africa, a civils and building construction company with vast experience in contract mining. One of his key strengths is managing stakeholders and relations across levels and status, a key attribute to successful construction projects. He is also deeply passionate about training; skills transfer and empowering host communities.
