I finished my B.S. in Mechanical Engineering at Oregon State University in July 2012, during which I interned at two engineering companies for a total of 1 year work experience. The internships were at CH2M Hill where I did HVAC in the companies industrial and advanced technology branch. After that I worked for Siltronic a wafer silicon wafer production facility where I designed high precision wafer procession parts. After completing my education I decided to pursue a job in Nepal with the desire to travel and do grass roots work that would benefit villagers with basic needs such as water, shelter, and food. While working for this company called ABARI (Adobe Bamboo and Rammed each Research Institute), I designed and built bamboo water tanks at the 5,000L capacity, bamboo modular roofing structure for school in collaboration with British NGO Learning Planet, and built a evaporative cooled refrigeration unit to be used in rural locations in Nepal with little or no electricity. The water tank was also built in Ethiopia for a small community near which also provided bio-sand harvesting and rain water catchment as well as training to the locals and technology transfer to local other local NGO's. As a result of this work experience I would like to pursue more work in the areas of water, shelter, food, and energy that are both environmental friendly and economically viable for local people.
