As a Machine Learning Engineer at Somatus, I apply my data science expertise and MS in Computer Science to develop and deploy innovative solutions for improving kidney care and patient outcomes. I work with a multidisciplinary team of engineers, clinicians, and researchers to design, implement, and evaluate machine learning models and algorithms that leverage large and complex datasets. Some of the projects I have contributed to include predicting disease progression, optimizing treatment plans, and enhancing patient engagement. Prior to joining Somatus in Jan 2023, I gained valuable research experience as a Data Scientist at ISRO - Indian Space Research Organization, where I worked on various projects related to satellite image processing, remote sensing, and computer vision. I also completed a graduate research assistantship at Cleveland State University, where I explored the applications of deep learning and natural language processing for biomedical text mining and sentiment analysis. I have strong skills in Python, Seaborn, TensorFlow, PyTorch, and Scikit-learn, and I am passionate about learning new technologies and techniques that can help me solve real-world problems.
