Beryl’s career began as a cartographer, this experience has carried through into the interrogation, development and presentation of spatial data Utilizing Geographic Information Systems (GIS) technology.Beryl is a co-founder of NorthSouth GIS NZ, (formerly known as Explorer Graphics Ltd) one of the longest established geospatial consultancies in New Zealand. NSG NZ has become the leading provider of GIS implementation and development services based on Esri technology, in New Zealand. NSG NZ’s partner relationships led to the formation of the NSG Group and the establishment of affiliated companies in both the United States and India. Beryl holds a Director role for NSG NZ and has actively participated in strategic and business decisions with respect to all NSG companies. NSG Group was one of the first global gold tier Esri partners, a status reserved for the top 5% of partners worldwide.NSG Group companies have been acknowledged with over 20 awards in the last 12 years which include recognition for the company’s work from its peers, including Esri, for contribution to GIS implementation both in New Zealand, and the United States.Beryl’s governance experience has been recognized externally by the business community and in February 2014 Beryl was invited to join the Board of the Mana Recovery Trust based in Porirua.There was a change in ownership of NSG NZ Ltd in October 2014 after which time Beryl co-founded IMGIS Ltd, as an independent GIS consultancy.
